Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations resonate through the shadows." The plot presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The adventure centers on "strange experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
- Unique weapons
- Survey Corps vehicle
Third Free Story Addition
This update also introduces the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma." This playful quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they trade characteristic techniques: Naoe introduces a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some lingering questions from the main storyline.
